Transform Your Teeth With Porcelain Veneers

Boost Your Confidence With A Picture-Perfect Smile

A beautiful smile can really transform your daily life. When you love your teeth, you can smile proudly, speak with confidence, and always put your best self forward. Whether you’re unhappy with how your teeth look or you just want to enhance your appearance, Dr. Julia Snyder and the team at Mountaineer Dental and Sleep Center are here to help with porcelain veneers.

With a set of porcelain veneers, you can cover up flaws like stains, cracks, and misshapen teeth and smile proudly once again. Best of all, you can transform your teeth with just a couple of quick visits over a period of 2-3 weeks.

What Are Veneers And How Do They Work?

Veneers are made from a layer of thin, strong porcelain. Each veneer is designed to fit perfectly over the front of one tooth. This covers up and hides flaws like stains, gaps between teeth, minor chips, and much more. With a full set of porcelain veneers, you can get the straight, bright, and gorgeous smile you’ve always wanted.

At Mountaineer Dental and Sleep Center, Dr. Snyder works closely with you to design a smile that meets your needs and expectations, too. From matching the color of your natural teeth to choosing the size, shape, and location of each veneer, you’re in control. You’ll always get exactly the results you expect!

The Benefits Of Choosing Porcelain Veneers

  • Super versatile – Veneers can treat almost any cosmetic problem with your teeth. They can be used to treat minor chips and cracks, worn-down teeth, deep stains, gaps between teeth, uneven and misshapen teeth, and even slightly crooked teeth in some cases. This means veneers are a great choice for “all-in-one” cosmetic treatment.
  • Very durable – We use durable ceramic materials for our porcelain veneers. Your new smile will typically last between 10-15 years with proper care, and some patients can keep their veneers for 20 years or longer. It all depends on how well you care for your smile.
  • Totally stain-resistant – Unlike your natural enamel, veneers are non-porous. This means that they cannot be stained by coffee, wine, berries, or any other food or drink. Your new smile will look bright and beautiful for years to come.
  • Spectacular results – Most importantly, you’ll love your new smile from Dr. Snyder and the team at Mountaineer Dental and Sleep Center. You can cover up any flaw in your smile, stop feeling anxious about how your teeth look, and feel more comfortable with your appearance when you smile, laugh, speak, and eat around others.

What To Expect From The Veneer Placement Process

Cosmetic consultation

Before you can get veneers, you’ll need to see Dr. Snyder for a consultation at Mountaineer Dental and Sleep Center. As an expert cosmetic dentist, Dr. Snyder can assess your smile, discuss your goals with you, learn more about your budget and preferences, and determine which cosmetic treatments may be right for your own unique needs.

Tooth preparation

Once you’re approved for veneers at our office in Boone, NC, you’ll come back for another visit with Dr. Snyder. She will clean and numb the treatment area, then gently remove a thin layer of enamel from each tooth that’s getting a veneer. This must be done to make room in your bite for your new veneers.

Veneer fitting

Once she has prepared your teeth, Dr. Snyder will use our iTero digital scanner to take a mess-free impression of your smile. Then, she will upload this into a computer program where she can design your new smile. You will be sent home with a temporary set of veneers to protect your teeth.

Crafting your porcelain veneers

Once Dr. Snyder finalizes the design of your new smile, she will send it to a dental lab. Here, a skilled technician will craft your new veneers out of durable, tooth-colored porcelain. Your veneers will be made out of the highest-quality materials and designed to fit perfectly into your smile. It usually takes 2-3 weeks for your veneers to be sent back to Mountaineer Dental and Sleep Center.

Final veneer check and placement

Once your veneers arrive at our office, you’ll come back for one last visit. Dr. Snyder will remove your temporary veneers, clean up your teeth, and then check the fit of each veneer. She will make any necessary adjustments, then bond each one into place with dental cement. The last step is to polish your teeth. Then, Dr. Snyder will send you home to enjoy your brilliant new smile.
