KOR Teeth Whitening

Brighten Your Smile with Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening, also called bleaching, is a simple, non-invasive dental treatment designed to change the color of your natural tooth enamel. It’s a great way to enhance the beauty of your smile.

Because having whiter teeth is a top aesthetic goal for many patients, there are several ways to whiten teeth. The most popular method is an at-home teeth whitening system that can dramatically brighten your smile.

Since teeth whitening works only on natural tooth enamel, it’s important to evaluate any old fillings, crowns, or restorations you may have. These will be replaced after bleaching to ensure they match your newly whitened teeth.

Our Whitening System: KOR Whitening

Our office uses KöR Whitening, widely recognized as the world’s most effective teeth whitening system.

KöR offers cost-effective options ranging from excellent home whitening for most patients to advanced treatment for stubborn cases like tetracycline staining.

Unlike most whitening gels that are only active for 25–35 minutes, KöR’s specially designed KöR-Seal™ trays seal out saliva and sulcular fluid. This allows the whitening gel to stay active for 6 to 10 hours, providing a deeper, longer-lasting whitening effect.

Why Consider Teeth Whitening?

Common reasons for whitening include:

  • Fluorosis (excess fluoride exposure during tooth development)
  • Normal wear of the outer tooth layer
  • Stains caused by medications such as tetracycline
  • Yellow or brown discoloration

What to Expect During Teeth Whitening

This whitening treatment generally requires three visits to complete.

First Appointment

  • Impressions or a digital scan are taken to create your custom whitening trays.
  • Your dentist will discuss which whitening option is best suited for you.

Second Appointment

  • You’ll try on the trays to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Our team will review how to use the KöR whitening system correctly.

It’s normal to experience some tooth sensitivity during the whitening process, but this usually fades shortly after you stop treatment.

Third Appointment

  • Final photos and shade comparisons will be taken to show your progress.
  • You’ll receive care instructions for your teeth and whitening trays.
  • We encourage regular dental visits to help maintain your beautiful, healthy, white smile.
